We’re proud to share that Newport Capital Group’s founder and president, Domenic DiPiero, has been named a finalist for PLANADVISER’s 2026 Retirement Plan Adviser of the Year in the 403(b) Plan Service category, for the third consecutive year.
This category recognizes advisors who stand out for their work with 403(b) retirement plan sponsor clients, with a focus on delivering effective, plan-level support for the unique needs of that market. Finalists are chosen from a competitive pool of nominations and evaluated on both qualitative and quantitative criteria.
Domenic’s selection reflects the depth of his work in the 403(b) space and the relationships he’s built with plan sponsors over the course of his career. Winners will be announced at the PLANADVISER awards celebration in May.

2026 PLANADVISER Retirement Plan Adviser of the Year Finalist in 403(b) Plan Service, Published March 20, 2026: The 2026 PLANADVISER Retirement Plan Adviser of the Year awards are based on a mixture of qualitative and quantitative measures, including tenure in the business, focus on retirement plan business as a percentage of practice revenue, willingness to serve in a fiduciary role to client plans, and a review of essay answers. These criteria are utilized for each of the six categories: Plan Sponsor Service; Plan Participant Service; 403(b) Plan Service; Inclusivity and Career Development; Closing the Coverage Gap – MEPs/PEPs and Closing the Coverage Gap – Micro/Startup Plans. In 2025, there were a total of 89 nominations and 29 finalists were selected. The PLANADVISER Retirement Plan Adviser of the Year awards are not indicative of the investment adviser’s future performance and no adviser pays, or is paid a fee, to take part in the program.
