In this Q4 edition of our Market Outlook, Newport Capital Group’s Senior Vice President of Investments, Rob Milmore, CFA, reviews 2025 market performance, updates on inflation and Federal Reserve policy and what we’re watching as we head into 2026.

Global equity markets ended 2025 at or near record highs, even with ongoing trade policy concerns and valuation pressure in parts of the U.S. market. International stocks led the year, supported in part by a weaker U.S. dollar. Fixed income also finished positive, as the Fed delivered three rate cuts in 2025 and yields moved lower across the curve.

Rob covers:

  • Key drivers behind Q4 and full-year 2025 equity and bond market performance
  • Economic and inflation trends influencing the Fed’s next moves
  • How Newport is thinking about diversification across regions, market caps and fixed income generation going into 2026
